Practicas in Auckland

Currently, all practicas in Auckland take place on a Sunday afternoon. TangoClub organises Práctica in the Park on the last Sunday of each month.

For a long time, the only practicas in Auckland were those run by Grant and Karyn Fromont. Their practicas still stand out for their relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with participants often bringing along cake and other items to share.

Their description:
A Practica is space with music provided to practice dancing tango.
There are no teachers as such nor does it have a set format, you can work on your own individual tango skills at your pace (with a partner) and can talk with friends and other dancers there, to get some informal help or advice on anything that is not working out.
Mistakes are allowed!

Keep track of practicas and other events by checking out our tango events calendar.
